WHERE ARE YOU FROM?
Born and raised in the city of San Francisco, CA
HOW DID YOU GET INTO YOGA?
My very first Yoga Class was in San Francisco in 2003, I was 3 months pregnant with my first son, working full time in corporate marketing and working through the stress of caring for my father who was very ill. I guess I was trying to find something to help cope with so many challenging life events at the same time. It was Iyengar Yoga for pregnant moms and it involved a lot of props, straps, holding poses for long periods of time and lots of chanting. At the time it was hard for my busy mind to take it all in, but I kept at it for years. I gained renewed focus in Yoga after injuring myself in the 2011 LA Marathon on Mile 18. I used Yoga to rehab my knee and then loved it so much that I completed my 200 hour Teacher Training with the Mukti Yoga School in 2015.
